Women entrepreneurs in India have come a long way.
Good Morning My friends!
Today's morning is slightly different because i often wake up in a lazy mood but today my mind has been thoughtful and is continuously roaming around the thought, about after pandemic opportunities. This time it's not only looking for future opportunities but also specifically looking towards opportunities for women of our country. Startups and entrepreneurship will definitely have a great future opportunity as this is the time when people need employment as many companies have kicked out its employees due to unavailability of financial resources. Women have a great opportunity to do a comeback as it will be a total fresh start for many employees post lock-down.
We see a very low participation of women in entrepreneurship but the coming time opens a new opportunity for them as this field have nothing to do with masculinity and moreover it has a plus point for women as they are good at managements and have a presentable style which makes them a good entrepreneur of future. So this is the call for each one of us to wake up and work for our country and for us, as it gives more confidence and helps you to live life independently. Its now or never situation for all. Many have come up and made their name but we need more such name to come up as the time of blaming the biased field has gone, it is the time to prove oneself.
The Economic Survey 2017-18 mentions an
Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)1 analysis that indicates that the proportion
of women who work has steadily reduced over time, from 36 percent to 24 percent in a decade, (when
examined in 2015-16) signalling a decline of 33.3 percent in Female Labour Force Participation (FLFP) in ten
years. It also showed that the gender gap in Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) is more than 50 percentage
points in India. These facts are enough to show the status to motivate yourself and improve the graph. The journey have started and many have come long way but there is more to go..
